After playing and contemplating for hours at the pumpkin patch, we finally managed to pick just the right pumpkins. All the muddy faces, hands, and clothes were well worth it! Then after days and days of "can we carve our pumpkins tonight?" (Marissa) we got around to cutting, scraping, sliming, and carving just 3 days before Halloween!
Marissa carved the biggest pumpkin all by herself! While she was working, she would progressively compare her work to Sandra's, and kept trying to sneak a peek at Brent's. However, Brent wouldn't let even the slightest wandering eye see his masterpiece before the big reveal.
Brayden thinks pumpkins are cool and gets real excited around them, but really preferred to dance to the Halloween background music, compliments of Marissa. He did come over and attempt to clean out the insides of the pumpkin, but quickly got over that and used the excuse that "it's too scary for my fingers!" He immediately left to go crash and dance to the music again.
Afterwards, everyone was pretty proud of the results. Marissa was super excited to complete her very first "all by herself" pumpkin, and Brayden gets a big smile on his face and announces "sssscccccaaaaarrrrryyyy" whenever he looks at them.
