Portland SHAMROCK RUN March 2009 I registered Brent and I for the Shamrock Run. He wasn't too excited but did it with me anyway. We registered with about 20 other teachers from Five Oaks. After the run a bunch of us went to have brunch. After all of the so-called calories we burned, why not have a plate full of bacon, pancakes, and syrup. We ran in the 5K. Oh my, it was COLD! There was a ton of rain and wind, not to mention I had no idea how long of a hill Broadway is. However, we didn't do too bad considering it was our first race. I think about 18,000 people were downtown running the different races. We had fun! Maybe we'll try it again next year.
