Adam, Minnette, Brenan, Logan, Nathan, KyleeSo the story goes...
We had been planning on being the Incredibles since the summer. However, Brent became anxious that it wasn't going to get done and that it might look "stupid." As a result, after we had slowly started getting the costumes ready, he decided to take things into his own hands. He bought Brayden an Optimus Prime costume and helped Marissa pick out her Groovy Girl costume. No trust!
Actually, Marissa really didn't want to be Invisa Girl anyway. She was really fighting it. We decided to get her the costume anyway. Once she saw Brent and I dressed up in our costumes for a friend's Halloween party, she began to think it was pretty cool and became somewhat excited to dress up as Violet from the Incredibles. Brayden became really excited. We think it turned out well.
However, Marissa didn't stay in her costume the whole night. After we had done some trick-or-treating and hung out at the Coopers', she changed into her other costume to finish off the night. Brayden did too, until his saw the end of the Incredibles movie and realized he wanted to be Dash for the whole night. Maybe he'll be Optimus Prime next year.
To finish off the night, we went trick-or-treating with Brent's friend Erik and his son Logan who is a year younger than Brayden. Logan was dressed as the singer Kiss. The boys had lots of fun running from house to house.
All in all it was a great night. I'm glad we dressed up as a family. Although, I don't know that I would do it again.

Pumpkin Hunting
This year we went to Bauman Farms to pick out our pumpkins. Once again we went overboard, and picked out too many pumpkins. Brayden and Marissa were extremely particular about their pumpkins which is fine, because everyone's pumpkins turned out well.
